It’s no secret that we ALL go through times of feeling “burnt out” in our lives and in our work. Recently, I went through a bout of it myself. I was feeling less than inspired, overwhelmed and found myself wondering, “Am I cut out for this?”.
When I shared this message on social media, I was blown away by the response and the amount of you who said you dealt with that same feeling or were/are going through it right now.
But here’s the thing — feeling the pain of burnout is not a very commonly talked about topic because so often, the only solution is to just “deal with it”, followed by more work.
In order to REALLY overcome burnout and (hopefully) avoid it, we need to retrain our habits and along with that, the amount of pressure we’re putting on ourselves to do it ALL and work non-stop.
